The Advocate's Pledge
Every advocate who joins the panel takes this pledge.
- 1I will stand with borrowers who are harassed, threatened or shamed over a loan.
- 2I will give my time, pro bono, to those who cannot afford a lawyer.
- 3I will act with diligence, honesty and dignity — and never exploit a person's distress.
- 4I will help people know and assert their rights, calmly and lawfully.
- 5I will hold every borrower's story in confidence and treat every person with respect.
- 6I stand for those in need. I join this mission.
