Loan apps in India — the primary-source record, brand by brand

Last updated 29 July 2026. Quoted pages read on 29 July 2026.

This page collects what India’s instant-loan brands say in their own paperwork. Every figure here is one of three things: a verbatim quotation from a company’s own document, a fact from a public register, or a calculation this site made and has labelled as its own. Everything was read on 29 July 2026.

What the lenders’ own documents state

All figures below are each lender’s own disclosure in its Key Facts Statement or loan documentation, or the company’s own website, read 29 July 2026. Unknowns are shown as em dashes and are never estimated.

Ram Fincorp, Zayloloan and Rupee On Time are operated by RBI-registered non-banking financial companies.

The figures below are taken from the sanction documentation, Key Facts Statement, bank credit record and demand communication of one salaried borrower in Bengaluru, reviewed by loantrap.org on 29 July 2026, and are published with that borrower's consent. They relate to a single loan. loantrap.org does not say they are typical of Dhanwalle's lending generally. Any company named may respond at any time through the corrections channel below, and we will publish the response.

The full record, brand by brand

Which apps are run by Naman Finlease?

Qualoan, Zayloloan, Funds Bull and Zepto Finance are operated by Naman Finlease, RBI Sl. 5115. One registered company can run several consumer-facing app brands, so a borrower who stops using one app may still be lent to, and pursued by, the same company under a different name. Search any register by the company name.

Loan app calling my office — is that allowed?

The RBI Fair Practices Code bars a lender and its recovery agents from contacting your employer, colleagues, family, friends or references, or disclosing your debt to them. Calls are permitted only to you, and only between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Regulated Entity remains accountable for what its recovery agents do.

How do I check if a loan app is RBI registered?

Search the Reserve Bank of India's published list of registered NBFCs for the OPERATING COMPANY's name, never the app brand — brand names do not appear on the RBI list or on the register of companies. The RBI also publishes a separate list of companies whose certificate of registration has been cancelled.

How do I complain about a loan app to the RBI?

Raise a written complaint with the lender's grievance officer first and keep a copy. If it is unresolved after 30 days, escalate to the RBI Ombudsman through the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC) at cms.rbi.org.in. You can also report the entity or practice on RBI Sachet, and criminal conduct at cybercrime.gov.in or 1930.

Where to report a lender

  • RBI Sachet sachet.rbi.org.in — to report an entity or an unlawful lending practice.
  • RBI Complaint Management System cms.rbi.org.in — the RBI Ombudsman, through the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC), after first raising the complaint with the lender’s grievance officer and allowing 30 days.
  • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal cybercrime.gov.in — or helpline 1930 — for threats, abuse, data exposure or misuse of phone data.
  • Consumer commission — file online through e-Jagriti (the portal that replaced e-Daakhil) — for deficiency in service or an unfair trade practice.
  • Check the lender yourself — the RBI publishes the list of NBFCs and ARCs registered with it, and a separate list of those whose certificate of registration has been cancelled. Search by the operating company’s name, not the app brand.
  • Free government legal aid — NALSA / SLSA / DLSA, your right under Article 39A. How to apply.

About this page

This page is public-interest reporting from primary documents. Quotations are reproduced as read on the stated date; websites change. Nothing on this page is legal or financial advice.

Nothing on this page is an allegation that any company or person named has committed an offence. Where a matter is described as alleged, it is an allegation only and has not been established. Where a company does not appear on a public register, there may be lawful explanations, and this page makes no finding either way.

The name of this site describes the subject it covers — problem borrowing and its consequences. It is not a statement about any company named on this page.
