Across 16 documented loans, Rs. 5,33,642 more was demanded than was ever advanced — on tenures of roughly four to six weeks. Every figure below comes from the loan documents themselves.
The loan figures below are taken from the sanction documentation, Key Facts Statement, bank credit record and demand communication of one salaried borrower, reviewed by loantrap.org and published with that borrower's consent. They relate to a single loan. loantrap.org does not say they are typical of this lender's lending generally. Any company named may respond at any time through the corrections channel below, and we will publish the response.
The comparison
“APR stated” is the figure in that lender’s own Key Facts Statement, where one was issued. “Annualised here” is this site’s simple annualisation of the documented amounts over the documented tenure — not a rate stated by any company. Blanks are shown as em dashes and are never estimated.

The shape that repeats
Read down the table and the same structure appears again and again: a fee of roughly a tenth of the sanctioned amount taken before the money arrives, a tenure of about a month, and a repayment demand around 30 to 40 per cent above the sum advanced. Because the fee is deducted first, interest runs on money the borrower never had the use of — which is what pushes the effective annual cost far past the rate on the front of the document.
One company, several brands
These operating companies each run more than one of the brands above. A borrower who leaves one app can be lent to by the same company under another name — so any register check must use the company name.
- • Aman Fincap Limited — Paisa on Salary, Duniya Finance
- • Ampire Finance Pvt Ltd — Snap Paisa, F1 Speed Loan
How much do salary-advance loan apps actually charge?
Across sixteen documented loans reviewed by this site, Rs. 12,99,000 was sanctioned in total, Rs. 1,29,803 was deducted before disbursal, Rs. 11,69,198 actually reached the borrower's account, and Rs. 17,02,840 was demanded back — Rs. 5,33,642 more than the sum advanced, over tenures of about 26 to 40 days. These are figures from the loan documents themselves; the annualised percentages on this page are this site's own calculation and are labelled as such.
Why is the APR in the Key Facts Statement lower than the real cost?
Two things pull the effective cost above a quoted rate. First, a processing fee deducted before disbursal means interest is charged on money the borrower never received — the denominator is smaller than the headline loan. Second, penal interest is charged on top of ordinary interest if the repayment date passes. Where a Key Facts Statement figure and this site's annualisation of the documented amounts differ, both are shown side by side on that lender's page and this site does not resolve the difference.
Do different loan apps belong to the same company?
Yes, frequently. In this comparison 2 operating companies run more than one consumer-facing brand — for example Aman Fincap Limited operates Paisa on Salary and Duniya Finance. A borrower who stops using one app can therefore be lent to, and pursued by, the same company under a different name. This is why any register check must use the operating company's name, never the app brand.
Is a 400% or 500% APR legal in India?
The Reserve Bank of India does not cap interest rates for most NBFCs, so a high rate is not by itself unlawful. What the RBI does require is disclosure: the all-inclusive Annual Percentage Rate must be stated in a Key Facts Statement given to the borrower before the loan is taken. Charges never disclosed in that statement, and interest charged on money deducted upfront that the borrower never received, can be disputed with the grievance officer, then the RBI Ombudsman or a consumer commission.
What should I do if I have borrowed from several of these apps?
Deal with them one at a time and in writing. For each loan, get the Key Facts Statement and the bank credit entry that shows what actually arrived, and note what is being demanded. Raise a written complaint with each lender's grievance officer and keep the dated copies; escalate anything unresolved after 30 days to the RBI Ombudsman at cms.rbi.org.in. Report threats, or any contact with your employer, family or contacts, at cybercrime.gov.in or on 1930 straight away. Free government legal aid is your right if you cannot afford a lawyer.
Where to report
- • RBI Sachet — sachet.rbi.org.in — to report an entity or an unlawful lending practice.
- • RBI Complaint Management System — cms.rbi.org.in — the RBI Ombudsman, through the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC), after first raising the complaint with the lender’s grievance officer and allowing 30 days.
- • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal — cybercrime.gov.in — or helpline 1930 — for threats, abuse, data exposure or misuse of phone data.
- • Consumer commission — file online through e-Jagriti (the portal that replaced e-Daakhil) — for deficiency in service or an unfair trade practice.
- • Check the lender yourself — the RBI publishes the list of NBFCs and ARCs registered with it, and a separate list of those whose certificate of registration has been cancelled. Search by the operating company’s name, not the app brand.
- • Free government legal aid — NALSA / SLSA / DLSA, your right under Article 39A. How to apply.
